   High Labour turnout in Peterborough

We will not know the euro vote results until Sunday..But the turnout in Peterborough at 33.4% is much higher than any comparable area. I know we worked hard to get the progressive, Labour and anti-BNP vote out. Ravensthorpe and Central had high turnouts. Many thanks to all those who voted and help encourage others to do so. The BNP did not do well in Peterborough in comparison to the right wing Ukip. The local Tories – are still seen as a bunch of neo con right wingers. With the MP and Former council leaders right wing rants and publications going on and on about Jonny foreigner – their European election address was considered by many who have spoken to me recently as racist.

I so much want to beat them at the next election and Jackson can push off back to……London where he still has his “first home” and he might get another job as a banker.

There are still about 4000 voters not registered in Peterborough. Help us get people registered including those with temporary addresses and the homeless. Forms are available on line at the council website or see our links.
