A team of Labour party members gained an easy victory over their opponents in a quiz to raise funds for the Sue Ryder hospice at Thorpe Hall.
Run by local radio’s Simon Potter to coincide with the launch of his book Weird & Wonderful Tales of Peterborough, questions ranged from true or false “Did Peter Boizot’s uncle play for Peterborough United?” to guessing the odd one out from a variety of personalities and places within the city.
Our team were 18 points ahead of the nearest rival, Peterborough Civic Society, twice as high as the Liberals and almost three times as successful as the Evening Telegraph’s team.
